Real-time notifications & system-controlled process communication
Orchestra enables MEYER WERFT production to send event-driven notifications in real time
What are event-driven notifications?
Event-driven notifications are messages that are sent automatically as soon as a predefined event occurs. A trigger could be, for example, a malfunction in a machine or a production part leaving a station. The messages are actively sent to the corresponding device or programme. The aim is to inform users in real time about important actions or news.
The challenges in production at MEYER WERFT
Being able to respond quickly and appropriately to emerging events (e.g. malfunctions, errors, failures) in production is a relevant competitive advantage in the modern manufacturing industry. In reality, however, too much time often elapses between the occurrence of an event, its reporting to the relevant specialist personnel and a response. This results in financial losses within production.
The implementation
The implementation of Orchestra (MSB) and the integration of Microsoft Teams made it possible to send event-driven notifications in real time within production.
The resulting advantages:
By implementing event-driven notifications using Orchestra, MEYER WERFT achieved a number of significant advantages that made its processes more efficient:
Event-driven notifications ensure that the right information reaches the right people at the right time and in the right place, enabling fast and targeted responses to incidents and errors.
